Barbara C. Raffaldini received her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1987. She has represented institutional lenders in construction and permanent financing transactions relating to real estate developments,
complex multi-state loan transactions, as well as loan workouts and foreclosure litigation. She also has represented real estate developers in the acquisition, governmental economic incentives, leasing and disposition of real property for commercial, industrial and residential developments, and landlords and tenants in
industrial, office and retail leases in single and multi use transactions. Ms. Raffaldini has represented clients in a variety of commercial matters, including corporate and partnership organization and operations.
Ms. Raffaldini represents a manufactured housing community operator who owns and operates over fifty (50) manufactured housing communities in the United States. She recently represented this client in connection with the $250,000,000 refinancing and defeasance of fifteen communities in eight states.
Ms. Raffaldini is admitted to the bars of Maryland, Washington, DC, Illinois and North Carolina. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She graduated cum laude with a B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University and is a member of the Phi Sigma Alpha
Political Science Honor Society.
Ms. Raffaldini is also the general counsel and co-owner of Raffaldini Vineyards & Winery, LLC, a family owned vineyard and winery located in North Carolina, which was established in 2002 by Ms. Raffaldini and her brother and sister-in-law. She is involved in various community activities, including serving as the past President of the Board of Directors of Bookmarks NC, a literary nonprofit (Winston Salem) and is the current President of the Board of Directors of Piedmont Opera, Inc. (Winston Salem). |
